How to upload your National Verifier letter

Need help to upload your National Verifier letter? Here are some instructions, tips and best practices that may help you.

Smartphone/Tablet

My approval letter is an email

Take screenshots of your email

Make sure to capture all of the information, you may need to scroll and take multiple screenshots

Tap Upload file

Go back to the upload section of the application and click “Upload file” button

Find and select your screenshots on your device

This is usually where your photos are stored

Click Add or Done to upload your file


My approval letter was mailed to me

Capture letter

Using the camera app on your phone, take a photo of your approval letter

Or, using a scanner, scan the approval letter and transfer it to your phone/tablet

Tap Upload file

Go back to the upload section of the application and click “Upload file” button

Find and select your screenshots on your device

This is usually where your photos are stored

Click Add or Done to upload your file

Computer

My approval letter is an email

Create a PDF of your approval letter

From your menu select File>Print> and choose Save as PDF from your print options

Click Upload file

Go back to the upload section of the application and click “Upload file” button

Find and select your letter on your device

This is where you chose to save the PDF

Click Open to upload your file


My approval letter was mailed to me

Capture letter

Using the camera app on your phone, take a photo of your approval letter and email it to yourself

Or, using a scanner, scan the approval letter and save to your computer

Click Upload file

Go back to the upload section of the application and click “Upload file” button

Find and select your photo on your device

This is usually where your photos are stored

Click Open to upload your file

Tips for a successful upload

  • Avoid sending any dark or blurry copies or pictures.
  • If you are taking photos, place your document on a dark background and avoid overhead or other bright lighting that could block the image.

    You may also want to match your phone positioning to the document (e.g. if the document is in portrait format, take the picture with your phone up and down; if the document is in landscape format, take the picture with your phone sideways).
  • Make sure that the name of your file will be easy for you to find.
  • If you are scanning your letter, save the document as a PDF or JPG file format.
